High-intensity preparation for match days or sessions targeting peak performance.

About this drill

Intensive warm-ups compress activation into 8–12 minutes of progressively higher-intensity actions. Use before matches, sprint-emphasis sessions, or any time players need to be ready to perform at peak from the first minute.

Key points

  • Short, sharp activations: 30s on / 30s off blocks
  • Include sprint patterns, change of direction, and explosive ball reception
  • Finish with a near-max effort 5–8 seconds before kick-off / start
  • Pair with light competitive elements (1v1s, 2v1 combos)

  • Mental sharpness — communication, scanning, anticipation
